Jessica Koester - Your Best Birth Doula

Meet Jessica Koester

Jessica has had a longtime passion with regards to pregnancy, childbirth and
breastfeeding. After hiring a doula for her third child’s birth, she knew she had
found her calling and in 2002 was granted birth doula certification through
DONA International (Doulas of North America).

Jessica is very committed to her work and has proven to be reliable,
professional, intelligent and good humored, with a knack for putting people at
ease. She strives to help her clients experience empowering and positive births
where they feel informed, supported, respected and in control.

Jessica has attended over 95 births including unmedicated, medicated,
high-risk, inductions, cesarean, VBAC, twin births, and homebirth. She also has
experience working with couples using hypnosis for labor, and is familiar with
Hypnobabies and Hypnobirthing.

In 2007, Jessica received certification through Lamaze International - the
widely recognized “gold standard” of childbirth education. She also enjoys
writing media reviews for the publication "Journal of Perinatal Education."
Always open to learning new ways of making the birth experience more
comfortable and positive, Jessica has attended many additional trainings and
workshops.

Jessica has given birth five times and has experienced both spontaneous and
induced labor, as well as medicated and unmedicated birth including three
hospital and two homebirths. Her experiences have lent her a compassionate
and understanding nature, and she is looking forward to working with you to
help you to have your best birth.
