Januaty 17, 2010 What a week! Dorothy & Jessica both signed on new doula clients this past week, childbirth classes are filling up, and today we had a great childbirth class, ending with a visit from former client Maggie who shared her birth stories (not to mention that she told the class that doulas rocked!) January 5 ,2010 Welcome Teagan Elliot, 6 lbs. 8 oz, born today at 4:20 am to S and S - congratulations - a quick labor and beautiful unmedicated birth! January 4, 2010 Yesterday we started our first class series of 2010 - six great couples. We're looking forward to seeing their confidence grow in the weeks ahead December 31, 2009 And now for the numbers. In 2009: 36 births were attended & 8 Lamaze series were taught for a grand total of 66 families served by YBB :) December 31, 2009 Milestones of 2009: Jessica & Dorothy acquired a 2nd teaching location, attended the DONA conference in Atlanta & a VBAC seminar by author Henci Goer, Jessica was published in the Journal of Perinatal Education & Dorothy was published in the International Doula. A monthly pregnant and New Mom's support group was started and let's not forget, Dorothy attended her 100th birth! December 24, 2009 Congratulations to Dorothy's doula clients K and G on the birth of Madeline - a beautiful unmedicated birth! |
